How to read the discography
The entries in the discography has the following format:
{title} [{month and year of original release}]
{type}: {year of release} {country code} ({label} {catalognumber}) {mark}
{tracklisting as:
{time} {song} ({version}) {mark}
}
{explanations and comments}
Note: mark, time, version and comments are optional. If any of the fields are
unclear they are replaced by questionmarks, ???.
Some comments:
{title}: if it is an album, the title is written in captial letters.
{type}: type shows on what format the item is released. The formats used is:
7": seven inch vinyl single
12": 12 inch vinyl single (maxi-single)
CD3: 3 inch CD single
CD5: 5 inch CD single (a regular CD single)
CSS: cassette-single (cassingle)
LP: vinyl album (long play)
CD: CD ablum (compact disc)
CS: cassette album
VHS: video cassette
If there are two items in one issue, eg. double CD, it is written as 2xCD.
{country code}: the country codes shows in what country the item is manufactured.
The country codes used is:
AU = Australia
CA = Canada
EC = Europe (country not specified)
GE = Germany
HO = Holland
JP = Japan
UK = the United Kingdom
US = the United States of America
{mark}: the mark is either explained immediately in brackets, [], or explained later with a * or +.
{explanations and comments}: here are the marks explained. Comments are given preceeding a -.
Here is an example of an entry:
Kahlua, Music For Your Mouth [Jan 1995]
CD3: 1995 AU (deconstruction/RCA KAHLUA 1) [promo] *
8:02 Moving On Up (mk mix)
